CONCERT LOG
This is a little diary of my experiences at different live shows! I want to go to more concerts in the near future so hopefully this gets updated a lot <3
Roar - Scala, London [10/09/2024]
Roar is the band I've wanted to see live since I first found them in 2019/2020. Me and my Mum drove around 4.5 Hours there and a similar 5 hours back, It was a very long day for one hour long concert LOL. I enjoyed myself a lot at this one but I definitely had a few thoughts afterwards, The audio was not the greatest. The mic was too far away most of the time so I barely heard any singing, and when I did he didn't seem to be as into it as I expected. As soon as he was warming up to singing the show ended LMAO
It was still quite a nice experience other than the audio issues, Owen was very interactive with the crowd. Too bad most of us were too stupid to do his fun little poem writing. He would ask for an adjective and the same person would scream "PENGUIN" for the 5th time. It was an interesting insight to the average Londoner (I jest I jest) and definitely made me question the education system.. I would definitely see Roar again live but maybe after a few years, I think the band was quite new to performing live but definitely have major potential to be unforgettable experiences.

Rare Americans - Camden Assembly, London [28/06/2022]
This was my favourite concert experience YET!!!! It was hosted in such a small room with a bar in the back, me and Mum managed to get the only two bar stools so we could sit down during the show (which was a lifesaver). Rare Americans LOVE their fans let me tell you. This was such a personal little concert, They were SO so interactive with the audience and put on a show I will never forget. I remember the hype when they played both Brittle Bones Nickey's BACK TO BACK with a COSTUME CHANGE between???!!! They announced they were working on a movie or a cartoon (?) which was also so so fucking hype. Im writing this about 2.5 years after but I remember it clear as day. I would DEFINITELY see Rare Americans again. Also cried when they played my favourite song Balmoral Hotel.
This concert was also where I discovered the band Bellevue Days, which was their opening band. 20/20 Vision was on loop for a while after that haha
