The Mollusk
by Ween
I love to talk about this album, It's the first thing I recommend any time Im asked. The Mollusk is such an Iconic album that you may not have even realised was your childhood, The Mollusk was the album that inspired Stephen Hillenburg to create SpongeBob Squarepants.
You start to hear Ween's music a lot more once you have that realisation, especially with their song 'Loop De Loop' which they made just for the show. Ween created the popular meme song 'Ocean Man' that was played at the end of the SpongeBob Movie, I would be surprised If you hadnt heard anything by them until now!
Songs like 'Im Dancing in the Show Tonight' and 'The Blarney Stone' really showcases where some popular character voices came from.
The Mollusk is such a perfectly crafted album, I think anyone who enjoys listening to music should listen to this album at least once. It almost tells a story. I fell in love with this album the second I listened to it, and Buckingham Green has been my favourite song in the world for around 3 years straight now. It's my dream vinyl, but is sadly very rare and VERY expensive.
